Policy of Himeji YMCA Japanese Language School
YMCA(Young Menfs Christian Association) is an international social volunteer organization and with a net work of 122 countries. In Japan, it is known as the social educational organization which has been making positive contributions to society in 34 cities including Tokyo and Osaka.
@ The Himeji YMCA started a Japanese Language Education Service in 1986 and has since become a center for Japanese study and cultural exchange between Jaanese people and students from all over the world. In 2001, Himeji YMCA Japanese Language School was established and was authorized as an official Japanese Language education provider. Many students have studied here, many making use of their Japanese by going on to study at Japanese universities of obtaining jobs with Japanese companies.
@ The purpose of our school is to train students in the Japanese language to a level, which will enable them to enter college or university in Japan, or work in their chosen profession in Japan. We also hope to offer the opportunity to develop an understanding of each countryfs history and culture and to cement friendships at promoting international understanding.
Historical, modern cityE HIMEJI
Himeji is a city with a very mild climate, faced to the Inland Sea, called Setonaikai, with a polulation of 530,000. It is also a modern, and historical city which has the famous Himeji-Jo, the first national heritage site registered by UNESCO in Japan. It is very convenient, close to Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima.
